Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC) is an initiative of National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board(NSTEDB, Department of Science & Technology(DST), New Delhi. It is an initiative of Kerala Startup Mission(KSUM). Under this scheme financial assistance is given to selected colleges for supporting innovative products and thereby build an entrepreneurial ecosystem inside the campus. The aim was to develop an institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in academic institutions to foster growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the faculty & students. Every year this center provide financial support to good number of students for developing innovative products. Up to 1 lakh rupees is made available for each idea. Apart from this financial we are also providing mentoring & infrastructural support for these projects. Also this center arranges many classes & camps to promote technology based innovation & entrepreneurship among the student.
