As an independent charity we work directly with, and for, charities, community groups and social enterprises in York. A lot of our work is behind the scenes; providing support with the day-to-day running of VCSE organisations, including:• Supporting new and existing VCSE groups and organisations with our training programme, guidance about legal structures, governance issues, policies and procedures and identifying potential funding sources and developing funding bids;• Bringing organisations together to discuss and challenge local issues through our events and voluntary sector forums;• Representing the sector at strategic board level to ensure the sector's voice is heard;• Championing the sector by promoting what you do best – making a difference for individuals and their communities.
