History/ Mission/ Programs offered:Voices for Education was founded in 1998 by a parent activist who was frustrated by the class sizes in her son's elementary school. With other parents, she began advocating within the district and within the state for smaller class sizes. Now Voices for Education continues to engage parents in education advocacy and build relationships critical to the support of Arizona's public schools. Our mission is to improve public education for every Arizona child by: (1) increasing parent engagement and leadership in public schools; (2) reducing class size in K-3; (3) improving at-risk schools for students, teachers and parents; and (4) increasing funding for public education at the state level.
