WBTV-LP is a collaborative community media project of the three Burlington area community media centers of RETN, VCAM and Channel 17/Town Meeting.The power of radio is undeniable – it's accessible & personal. What separates 99.3 FM, WBTV-LP is our aim to be the voice of the people, while still being in chorus with other local Burlington radio. We will broadcast to Burlington via the radio, and to Vermont and beyond online.Together, with a growing leadership group, our working mission is to:teach the community (individuals and NPOs) how to produce diverse content on politics, cultural views, music & more;engage the community as listeners in events, meetings, & other happenings that are otherwise unheard;give voice to citizens who may be marginalized or silenced;& provide a platform for free speech, so that free exchange of ideas & dialogue can remain uncensored.
