The Greater Gift Initiative - Volunteers Advancing Health The Greater Gift Initiative gives one vaccine to one child every time one clinical trial volunteer makes the important decision to volunteer for a clinical trial. The Greater Gift Initiative raises public awareness of the benefits of clinical trial participation and hopes to serve as a philanthropic connector for the clinical trials industry with the goal of making the gift of one childhood vaccine for each volunteer the industry wide standard for honoring clinical trial participants. Because of the long, multiphase nature of the clinical trial process, volunteers are often left without the immediate knowledge of the contribution they have made to the development of new medicines. The Greater Gift Initiative honors clinical trial participants by donating a vaccine to a child in need, allowing the participant to know they have made an immediate impact on the advancement of health, in the US and worldwide. The Greater Gift Initiative is proud to partner with the GAVI Alliance, an innovative public-private global health organization, as both the GGI and GAVI work to provide funding for potentially life-saving vaccines in developing countries. The GGI welcomes inquiries about potential partnerships from all segments of the clinical trials industry, from clinical trial sites, to individual investigators, CRO's and sponsors, as well as highly regarded global health organizations dedicated to advancing global health.
