Areté Education, Inc. is a new nonprofit organization established to support the efforts of The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology, which is located in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the South Bronx, in the midst of our nation's poorest Congressional district. The school serves 500 students in grades six through 12, 95% of whom qualify for free or reduced lunch, and has achieved national recognition for its innovative programs and track record of student success. It is now in the process of reconfiguring into a grade six through twelve secondary school and will partner with Areté Education to deliver the support services, after school programming and an innovative boarding program for its high school students.
