Foodoc is a telehealth platform connecting dietitians with individuals keen to optimize their health through food and exercise. Modern-day living often means spending an hour in traffic for a 30 minutes appointment, waiting two weeks for that weekend availability, or making changes to your evening plans just so that you can fit that appointment in without taking time off work. You are probably having a headache just thinking about it! Well, so were we, and that was the conversation that got us started with Foodoc.Foodoc wants to make it easy for anyone to eat and live healthier. With loads of nutrition information on the Internet that is often contradictory, it has become very hard to tell the true story. Misinformation is everywhere, and what is worse is that detrimental side-effects of many diets may not become apparent until many years later, when it is probably too late to reverse the damage.Why did we choose to work with dietitians? As one of the most regulated sources of nutrition expertise, dietitians take full responsibility for what they say and do not sell unnecessary products or services. While many dietitians work in hospitals offering nutrition therapy, more and more have found their passion to lie in private practice, where they tackle the needs of relatively healthy individuals, focusing on disease prevention.
