AID can lay claim to being the "first dedicated institute for gaming and animation in India". Since January, 2008, over 300 students have graduated from the various programs offered here. The centre houses people with industry expertise thereby imparting quality training specific to the industry needs.AID's pedagogy recognizes the value in creative thinking and the importance of hands-on experience. We put this into action with an approach that emphasizes problem-solving, learning by doing, and empowering our students to generate their own concepts and ideas.Another major boost to AID's pedigree is the Board of Studies, comprising of industry honchos, instructors and affiliated university delegates further emphasising the importance of learning in professional environments, using relevant creative tools and software. As a result, the curriculum have been refined over the years, for a more industry oriented approach and maintains a fine blend between skill-based training and theoretical background so as to make sure that the student is industry-ready immediately upon graduating. The Board members of the Asian Institute of Design are seasoned educationalists, with higher levels of academic qualifications from world renowned universities. They also come with a thorough international exposure in the field of education, and with the experience of having set up the first ever fully IT college in the Gulf region. This college, known as the Middle East College of Information Technology (MECIT), has now diversified into other areas of technology and management education, aspiring to become a technology university in the near future.
