Wounds Australia was established in 2015 following the nationalisation of the Australian Wound Management Association national and state and territory associations.Wounds Australia members are drawn from the disciplines of nursing, medicine, pharmacy, podiatry, industry and the sciences. Wounds Australia publishes Standards and Guidelines and a peer-reviewed journal to promote best practice in wound prevention and management. It provides education resources and delivers educational activities for health professionals. Wounds Australia also provides educational resources and activities, scholarships and grants for members and runs the annual Wound Awareness Week. Wounds Australia is endorsed as a Health Promotion Charity and holds Deductible Gift Recipient Status.
