Rowbust was founded in 1994 by the Morrison family who saw a gap in the market for high-quality rowing clothing. Their view was that clothing for rowers was uncomfortable, had little design integrity and used dated fabrics. They changed on and off water apparel for rowers of all ages and abilities by offering a better product. The Morrisons realised that rowers were often active people and when not on the water, often participated in other sports, particularly cycling to cross-train. Rowbust then created a range of cycling apparel for rowers who wanted to cycle, and then the obvious extension into clubs and teams.Rowbust was merged with Frenzi Sports Wear in the mid 90's when the Morrisons sold the business. Frenzi provided cycling apparel, along with servicing customers in Surf Life Saving, swimming, triathlon and snow sports. It is a market leader in Masters team uniforms, particularly for competitions.Avril Bastiansz and Matthew Fogarty purchased the Rowbust & Frenzi business in 2008 and set about returning the business to its core values – high quality, innovative products coupled with great service. Current Rowbust customers include the University of Melbourne, Brisbane & GPS rowing, the Australian Defence Force, and many masters organisations. Rowbust manufactures all technical products in its factory in Heidelberg and continuously draws design ideas from a range of garments to improve the product for the customer.
