SafeHands Schools is a private Christian, faith – based school founded in October 2006. It is the educational arm of House on the Rock, The Refuge in Abuja.The school first started with an international Christian curriculum called the Accelerated Christian Curriculum (ACE) from North America. However, the school found a need to keep abreast with the changes in education and as such, the school has adopted an integrated curriculum that captures the best practices in the British and Nigerian school systems wrapped around the Christ–centered curriculum of the Christian Schools Trust, UK. Here the children are not just custodians of excellent academic knowledge but are also raised as disciples of Christ.SHS has about 250 students from Early Years (3months) to Year 6. The school is governed by a School Board made up of members of the church and parents from different spheres of life as well as the Head Teacher.SHS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
