EQUUS at Thunderbird Ridge was established in 2016 by Partners Kelly Wendorf and Scott Strachan. EQUUS is a self-mastery, discovery and leadership development organization that offers uniquely inspired coaching for our clients, course work for thought leaders, and certifications for select, advanced coaches. Their custom-designed approaches sit at the confluence of neuroscience, systems theory, attachment theory, nature-based wisdom and contemplative inquiry.The EQUUS Experience.® was created by Kelly Wendorf in 2012, partnering with horses to facilitate self discovery. Kelly and Scott continue to develop this powerful approach to breakthrough learning. EQUUS has also created and facilitates Wisdom Circles,® peer group circles created within organizations to assist in creating and sustaining culture change. Wisdom Circles come together specifically for the purpose of building a conscious and intentional culture of trust, integrity, meaning, purpose and well being. Unlike most leadership meetings, the spirit of the meeting is to cultivate a fellowship of support by allowing the humanity of the circle to be its premise. Through a specific curriculum, structure, and trained facilitation, members explore topics such as connection, meaning, purpose, well-being, emotional mastery and healing.Together, Kelly and Scott leverage their world citizenship, social responsibility, thought leadership, and vital life experience in all of the emerging and impactful EQUUS programs and methodologies.EQUUS established and continues to develop its Experiential Learning and Discovery Campus, nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. EQUUS curates this sacred land with the permission of and official blessing by the land's Traditional Tesuque Pueblo Elders. The 11-acre campus is surrounded by nine different pueblos, opens to miles of wilderness hiking trails, and features many beautiful indoor and outdoor settings for dialog, meditation and circle.
