The Illawarra Grammar School (TIGS) is an Anglican, co-educational, non-selective day school for students aged 3 to 18/from Pre-Prep to Year 12. Its mission is: 'The achievement of academic excellence in a caring environment that is founded on Christian belief and behaviour so that students are equipped to act with wisdom, compassion and justice as faithful stewards of our world. Achievement of outstanding academic results in a safe, caring community is a feature of a TIGS education. Programs based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the International Baccalaureate in the Junior School lay the foundation for outstanding educational outcomes. Learning is individualised through specialist programmes for gifted students and support for students with learning difficulties. A dynamic approach to curriculum development provides a stimulating and diverse curriculum. The School provides programs that stimulate the interest and creativity of students. Extensive co-curricular and extracurricular experiences provide an environment that fosters the growth and learning of the whole child.
