Since 2006, Cool River Systems has been a pioneer in the development and production of hand-held wireless timing systems for competitive sports and training. Driven by frustration and inaccuracies experienced at local swim meets, we designed the first wireless stopwatch system for this application. Since then, our patented timing systems have been used in a wide range of sports, including swimming, hockey, and baseball. We design products to combine extreme ease of use and low cost with high accuracy and performance to enhance the total experience of the competitors, officials, and spectators. The ClassFive wireless timing system is our latest patented product designed specifically for the sports of track and cross country. Based on the proven and reliable technology of our existing products, ClassFive offers improved performance and more features. These include extended wireless range, a large graphical timer display, and increased timer memory for saving race data for reviewing on the device or downloading later. An advanced PC Interface module and application make the ClassFive system very easy to use and allow it to work seamlessly with meet management software. ClassFive also includes a feature that provides communication between the system operator and the starter to facilitate meet management and avoid confusion. The capabilities of the ClassFive system reduce the resources and time required to conduct track and cross country meets while also improving the accuracy of the results compared to standard hand-held timers.
