New Bohemia Brewing Co. (NuBo) is a microbrewery located in Santa Cruz, CA, just steps from the legendary Pleasure Point surf break. We are dedicated to brewing fresh beer in a variety of styles, with a particular emphasis on European-style craft lagers that we think have been under-appreciated in the American craft beer scene. NuBo is inspired by the vibrant beer culture and styles in Central Europe. The Kingdom of Bohemia was the beer capital of Europe five centuries ago, and it has continued to shape beer trends since. Now it's time to create a New Bohemia for a new enlightened age--a place that is at once classical and renegade, grounded in tradition and experience, while guided by a spirit of discovery and whimsy, with an appreciation for beauty and artistic inspiration.
