In 1997, three gamers decided that they wanted to play games about characters, not about a bunch of numbers on a piece of paper. The three, Steve Johnson, Leighton Connor, and Dale French, developed a system that modeled the rules of fiction, not the physics and statistics of reality. After a year of hard work they published QAGS, the Quick Ass Game System. Since then, QAGS (pronounced "kwags") has been updated with a Second Edition, and Hex has continued to release games dedicated to shared storytelling, limited rules, and maximum fun.Hex's mission is to spread the word that gaming should be fun, and we think the games that are the most fun are all about interesting characters sharing an uncommon world. If this sounds like the kind of game you want to play, come with us, play more games, and have more fun!
