The Brisbane Hustlers were originally formed in 2004 and is Brisbane's only GLBTI and all inclusive rugby union team.Reforming in early 2012 after a hiatus, the club is a growing group of passionate people who have built a formidable rugby team across the last few years. The Brisbane Hustlers currently are ranked 3 in the International Gay Rugby world rankings after finishing in the semi-finals in the 2016 Bingham Cup and runner-up in the 2014 Bingham Cup. The Brisbane Hustlers currently hold the trans-tasman rugby shield, the Purchas Cup, defeating Sydney Convicts in Melbourne in September 2017.
