Founded more than 50 years ago, Manatee Glens is a not-for-profit provider of mental health and addiction services. In addition, our specialty services include Child Welfare Services (foster care supervision), a Rape Crisis Program, outreach and education services to prevent addictions before they begin and an employee assistance program. Manatee Glens is the community's oldest and largest provider of mental health and addiction services. Throughout our history, when help is needed for those in crisis, Manatee Glens has been available to provide resources. Annually, Manatee Glens provides counseling and other services to 10,000 individuals and offers programs to those of all ages. Manatee Glens employs more than 450, including psychiatrists, licensed therapists, other allied health professionals and child welfare family care coordinators. Manatee Glens is licensed by the State of Florida and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.
