The only other established source of MHP is the high-pressure acid leach (HPAL) technology, which is extremely complex, unreliable and costly compared with the simpler flowsheet of the DNi Process™.A GREENER SOLUTION - NO TOXIC TAILINGSFrom ore acceptance to disposal of the leach residue, the DNi Process™ has minimal impact on the environment because over 95% of the nitric acid used is recovered and recycled enabling the leach residue to be returned to the mine. It also retains a small amount of magnesium nitrate which encourages the growth of native plants.
