Artemis One Health Research Foundation is a private, non-profit research organization. Mission: to help counter the societal burden posed by emerging infectious diseases. Vision: to become a world-leading institute in One Health research by undertaking an integrated approach to fundamental and applied interdisciplinary research on infectious diseases in order to improve human, animal and ecosystem health. The One Health concept describes how the health of humans, animals and ecosystems are interconnected. Artemis One Health Research Foundation also plays an important role in the education of national and international students and young scientists to develop an integrated One Health understanding of the drivers of zoonotic events, such as avian Influenza, Mers-coronavirus, vector-borne viruses, and rabies virus.
