Armour Transport first started trading back in 1975 when Phill Armour got on the road with his first vehicle, a Leyland Super Comet.Over the coming years, the company grew strong relationships with notable shipping lines and customers. Phill expanded the fleet and premises, reaching a capacity of over 40 vehicles. In 2000, at the height of the company's operation, the companies Purfleet yard was compulsory purchased to make way for the channel tunnel link. Consequently, Phill decided to retire.19 years later, James Armour (Phill's son) decided to follow in his Fathers footsteps and restart the company. Our aim is to re-establish Armour Transport as a notable transport provider within the industry.
