Everyone knows someone who would benefit from what we do at Rhythmix. We all have experiences of friends or family members spending time in hospital, with a physical or learning disability, with Dementia, or mental health issues. Music can build a bridge and helps us connect again.Rhythmix seeks out places where music isn't happening and offers high quality music to those at the margins of society. We take music to people who would benefit from it and to places people don't expect to see or hear it.Rhythmix is a music, social welfare and education charity working with some of the most vulnerable people in the South East of England. Rhythmix believes in the power of music and culture to transform people's lives. We are an award winning charity; CCSkills Award for Music 2017 winner, BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey Community Hero Award 2017 winner, Children and Young People Now Awards (Mental Health and Wellbeing) 2017 winner, Music Teacher Awards winner 2018, Charity Today Award (Disability Charity of the Year) winner 2018, National Lottery Award 2016 finalist, Charity Award 2017 (Arts, Culture and Heritage) finalist and Nursing Time Awards (Emergency and Critical Care) 2017 finalist.
