Pixtree Inc. has grown into a company equipped with technological competitiveness at home and abroad since its foundation in 2002 by making aggressive investments in technology development. Those who led the standardization of MPEG, a media compression standard technology, became the main members when Pixtree was founded. Pixtree has improved its business capabilities by making the first attempts in multimedia services for mobile phones and mobile broadcasting services in Korea in order to respond to the explosive growth of the multimedia industry. As a representative example, Pixtree contributed to the establishment of terrestrial DMB(T-DMB)(world's first mobile broadcasting) standards and localized and supplied encoders and monitoring equipment for T-DMB -- which was monopolized by imported equipment - as the core broadcasting equipment of any broadcasting company. It also diversified its line of business to another mobile TV area by supplying encoder equipment for satellite DMB and ATSC-M/H, the mobile broadcasting standard of the US. Pixtree is a company that supplies competitive multimedia products and solutions to its customers such as media service providers, broadcasting companies, and major device vendors at home and abroad by enabling IPTV broadcasting to provide the UHD service with domestic technology only after developing and supplying encoder equipment for UHD for the first time in Korea.Such technological prowess is what Pixtree has cherished most for almost two decades. Pixtree also enables the transmission of high capacity media using media compression and streaming technology of the legacy encoder/transcoder and cloud based transcoder. In addition, Pixtree is drawing attention with its technological prowess, such as media deep learning technology that converts low-resolution, deteriorated images into ultra-high resolution/quality by customizing and applying deep learning technology -- which is applied to various fields these days -- to media.
