Tarang Health Alliance is an NGO committed to improving the health of youth in India. We do this by developing Health Education materials, training teachers to conduct Health Education in their respective schools and influencing policy to make health education mandatory in every schools and grade level in India. We have developed Knowledge and Skill standards for health education. We have developed Health Education workbooks and teachers manuals for Class VI & VII students. These books have been printed in English and Hindi. Our short-term goal is to partner with Private schools and Department of Education in Delhi to evaluate the curriculum. Our longer-term goal is to have these books be introduced as part of the curriculum in various Union Territories and States. We will be developing the books for the remaining Grades. We are also in communication with Departments of Education, NCERT and CBSE to make health education a mandatory subject.
