In late 90s, both were highly fascinated by ozone's ‘protection' property and set up a manufacturing facility for ozone generators. In 1998, the company was registered as M/s. Ozone India. With customer focus in India, M/s Ozone India did handholding with M/s. Kaufmann Umwelttechnik located at Wehr, Germany which was manufacturing ozone generators and had global presence with over 2000 installations. At this time, ozonators were synonymous to ‘disinfection' especially in developed nations. There was no big foot fall in India and Asia in general.In 2002, M/s Ozone India was rechristened as Ozone Research & Applications (India) Pvt. Ltd. - ORAIPL and started its journey as a project engineering based private limited company providing environmental solutions through ozone and advanced oxidation processes. ORAIPL is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company which manufactures ozone generators, ozonation systems, ozone destructors, static-mixers, automatic air vent valves, other accessories for ozone systems and uses both photochemical and non-photochemical advance oxidation process systems. ORAIPL also offers other services such as Laboratory Testing, Treatability Studies, Pilot Testing Process, Testing on Site, Engineering Support Design and Integration, Application Consulting, Process Selection and Equipment Servicing after Sales. ORAIPL has an in-house Research and Development wing which solely works on the various applications of ozone and advanced oxidation processes and is in a constant pursuit to innovate and invent feasible water solutions for the world. The research team works in a variety of industrial or municipal effluents to bring forward efficient treatment schemes via ozone or various advanced oxidation processes. The Research and Development wing is headed by Mr. Vishal Waindeskar who has 25+ years of experience in this field.
