Since 1980, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Dayton has provided a "home-away-from-home" for families with hospitalized children, keeping them close by in a stressful time.Our staff and volunteers welcome worried and exhausted families with open arms. Many families did not anticipate their visit to the House or Family Room, so we strive to meet their needs as they arise. Every night, dozens of moms, dads, brothers and sisters stay with us in the Ronald McDonald House®, only steps away from the hospital. What we are able to provide at the House is a bit of stability in the midst of challenging times. Families can make the House their "home-away-from-home" for as long as their child is being treated in the hospital.Each day, nearly 50 – 70 families visit our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, stepping away from the hospital setting just for a moment to breathe and regroup just moments away from their child.Our MissionRonald McDonald House Charities of Dayton provides a temporary "home-away-from-home" for families of critically ill, hospitalized children and supports efforts that improve children's health within our region.Our VisionRonald McDonald House Charities of Dayton is committed to improving the lives of our region's children.
