Children of the World India (CWI) - is a registered public charitable organization affiliated to Enfants Du Monde, France. Its mission is to reach out to the most underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society especially children and women regardless to their social, religious, racial, cultural and political persuasions. CWI trains them in Hand Embroidery, Garment Technology, Pattern Making, Leather Goods Technology, Catering Technology, Graphic Design, Hand Stitching, Basic Computer, English, Communication Skills, Sports, Yoga and other personality development activities. Located in Chennai and Pondicherry the recent projects of CWI include implanting of vocational education to young adults especially women under "Artyzan Vocational Academy", Crèche for migrant construction worker's children. Rehabilitation of infertile agricultural land through organic farming techniques, primary health center for coastal villages in north of Tamil Nadu etc. CWI's projects are supported by, French Red Cross, European Commission, Enfant Du Monde-France, Sports Sans Frontiers, Voice of Children, Indiax, ADER, Cyrus and Priya Vandrevala foundation etc apart from many leading international corporations and philanthropic individuals.
