Understanding collisions before they happen using video analytics.Our Transportation Safety solutions use video analytics to transform traffic movement and road user behaviour into knowledge, which enables our clients to design safer intersections, roundabouts, crosswalks, bicycle facilities, and highways. Our focus is on identifying and predicting the frequency and severity of dangerous interactions between vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.Using video collected from almost any camera, our software platform provides automated video analysis (using computer vision, deep and machine learning methods) to understand road safety issues by performing automated surrogate techniques. This enables transportation and traffic engineers to make better decisions on how to identify safety issues and improve the performance of transportation facilities.More specifically, we offer automated solutions that are able to generate data on traffic conditions, road user conflict patterns, speeds, counts, and other surrogate safety indicators. This data allows cities and engineers to identify dangerous locations in a network, determine the most dangerous movements or risk causes, and evaluate road safety improvements using a measurable safety index.
