Assistance League volunteers feed, clothe, mentor and educate at-risk children in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community through five philanthropic programs: Operation Check Hunger, Operation School Bell®, Mecklenburg County Teen Court, Assistance League Scholarship Fund and Assistance League Outreach. These programs are funded in part from proceeds of the Assistance League Thrift Shop located at 3405 South Tryon. Store hours are Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat from 10-4. Donations of gently used items are greatly appreciated during regular store hours. Assistance League of Charlotte is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families through community-based philanthropic programs.
