The mission of Aging with Art & Soul is to provide engaging products and programs to seniors of all abilities, including but not limited to seniors living with dementia and Alzheimer's - that stimulate minds, exercise bodies and touches their souls. The Coloring Book and more for senior adults is not an ordinary coloring book. The original artwork is simple yet engaging images with more spaces and heavier line weight. To encourage interactions with the seniors and trigger memories, inside the "Love of Animals" Coloring Book and more, are personal short stories and fun facts. The "Abstract Designs" Coloring Book and more for senior adults, includes original poetry that will may trigger memories, smiles and tugs at heartstrings. Also offered are facilitated programs such as the Coloring and more Book Club where coloring isn't the only thing that transpires. The Arts & Crafts Club's activities help with hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity and brings out the artist in everyone. "I've personally witnessed residents who once struggled at mealtime with their own knives and forks suddenly be able to work with paint and crayons thanks to Suzanne's loving guidance. The encouragement and patience she shows has enabled our residents to fill pages with rich and vibrant colors. She has a true gift – a calling if you will – to captivate and enhance memory through her art.
