We have 22 Community Fire Stations and a Marine Rescue Unit who protect and respond to the 1.4 million residents of Merseyside. Our Home Fire Safety Check programme is at the heart of our prevention strategy. We have fitted over 1 million free smoke detectors, giving bespoke fire safety advice and signposting at risk members of the community to partner service providers.Our response standards remain among the fastest in the country and we aim to achieve a response within 10 minutes on 90% of occasions.
