ARC's co-founders are energized, creative, skilled, and passionate about educating and empowering people. In addition to founding ARC, Dr. Katy Fielder and Dr. Laura Huser are Affiliated Clinical Faculty with the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix Campus, where they provide mental health training and clinical services to students. They are also Affiliated Clinical Faculty with Arizona State University, Department of Counseling and Counseling Psychology, where they supervise Masters and Doctoral students in training. In 2001, after becoming licensed psychologists, the co-founders opened their practices and started designing professional experiences that would eventually lead them to establish ARC. They have: - Provided thousands of hours of compassionate, evidenced-based therapy to individuals and couples. - Facilitated trainings, lectures and workshops to local and national audiences. - Published their writing in peer-reviewed journals, textbooks, magazines, and newsletters. - Consulted with charitable, corporate, and educational organizations. - Completed advanced training in evidenced-based anxiety treatment protocols and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Through all this work, they came to realize that the world needs a new way to think about anxiety. It is their mission to provide a way to do just that!
