But for an increasing number of our neighbors, rising unemployment, drugs, alcohol, gambling addictions and a lack of affordable housing make living here a tremendous challenge. For those who are hungry, homeless or in need, the Great Falls Rescue Mission is a Beacon of Hope and renewal, where we are committed to meet the physical and spiritual needs of men, women and children.OUR MISSION STATEMENTGreat Falls Rescue Mission is a non-profit Christian organization committed to caring for the hungry, hurting and homeless of North Central Montana. We believe lives can be changed by actively demonstrating and sharing the love of Christ and meeting a person's spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs.OUR HISTORYIn 1963, a former lumberjack-muleskinner was called by God to start a Rescue Mission in Great Falls. Harold Ross had just a few hundred dollars of seed money and a vision to partner with the local churches to share Jesus with homeless men.Nearly 50 years later, the Great Falls Rescue Mission still reaches out to homeless men, but now we also serve needy and homeless women and children.
