The Investment and Development Office (IDO) is the investment arm of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah. It was established by Emiri Decree in 2004 and is a pillar of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah's development and prosperity. Our mandate: To generate sustainable financial returns and drive economic growth for Ras Al Khaimah and its people, for generations to come.As a responsible sovereign investor, we are guided by a set of core values, that drive our day-to-day decision making and investment approach. In line with these, we believe that we have an overarching commitment to the welfare of our community. We are an active investor, with a long-term investment horizon, focused on achieving sustainable returns from our portfolio and supporting the broad development of the Emirate. Our portfolio spans a wide range of sectors, with both listed and non-listed investments. We have also played, and continue to play, a key role in enabling the Government of Ras Al Khaimah to maintain an overall credit rating in the ‘A' range by Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings for over a decade.
