Founded in May of 2012 My Closet Envy - MCE was an apparel store centered around supporting the locals. The vast majority of products carried in our Bonney Lake store and online, at MyClosetEnvy.com, were from brands based in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Started as a simple 10th Grade DECA Project, MCE is the brainchild of Holly Shaw and Guy Maughan. The dynamic Mother-Son duo have this intense passion for supporting local brands but also finding anyway to stay ahead of the curve in terms of thinking local. When originally started in 2012 My Closet Envy was a consignment store. Holly and Guy had never owned or operated or store before. At the time Holly was a Stay at Home mom and Guy was only 15 years old. After a year a half in Consignment My Closet Envy relocated to Downtown Sumner, where they took on the shorter name MCE. When the relocation effort took place, MCE replaced consignment and became a authorized retailer of brands such as RVCA, Miss Me, Rock Revival, among other multinational brands. Up until 2016 the big name brands were the bread and butter of what MCE did in sales. In May of 2016 Holly and Guy decided to embark on a new adventure. The store relocated once again to the Cedarview Plaza in Bonney Lake and dropped ALL of the big names brand in favor of the local brands. Now MCE is Your Pacific Northwest Apparel Store and everyone there Live, Eats, and Breathes the local companies. Whether that be a local wood artist making Phone cases, Headphones and Jewelry or the Bath Body products.MCE has became the premier destination to find those unique items from brands base close to home. Our motto is supporting the locals is made easiest when you think about the locals first. Starting January 1st, 2019 My Closet Envy rebranded as MCE Apparel and became an e-commerce company selling only Apparel designer by our own designers.
