Gingerbread World is a little company based in Winnipeg, Canada. And although we are not European, per se – we have always enjoyed our travels in Europe and the general flair of the continent!So we are creating a shop of things that we love – celebrating European tastes, quality and design.Throughout the year, we offer chocolates made in Europe – but only the ones we actually love! And we offer toys and puzzles we came across on one of our buying trips to Germany. And some very funky ready to assemble VW pencil holders from a completely German company that we fell in love with.But Christmas time is when it all really happens at Gingerbread World! Fresh Nuremberg Lebkuchen from the famous Lebkuchen Schmidt bakeries arrives at our warehouse ready to be shipped all over North America in time for Advent.Some of our customers are originally from Europe and enjoy Lebkuchen as a nostalgic tradition. But many of our customers have no European background but have discovered the yummy tastes of Lebkuchen – a gingerbread-type cookie but way more interesting!This Christmas, for the first time, we are also presenting Nativity Scenes made by hand in Germany, gifts and toys from Europe, hand embroidered table linens and, of course, chocolates and Lebkuchen.We hope you enjoy these items that celebrate that little something different – that European flair.
