Established in 1976, Detroit Receiving Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency (part of Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center) is one of the oldest and established training program of emergency medicine physicians nationwide. Our residents gain unparalleled exposure by training at an urban level 1 trauma center with >100k annual ED visits as well as at one of the busiest pediatric hospitals in the nation- Children's Hospital of Michigan.Today, the program boasts one of the largest and most expansive alumni network in emergency medicine, with physicians in leadership positions across the nation in every practice setting.
