Northwind's main focus is the acquisition of assets that have been held for long duration by the same ownership, where it recognizes opportunity to implement various value-add strategies.In 2016, Northwind made a strategic decision to allocate significant capital towards senior-living properties and since acquired 1,500 skilled-nursing beds and 500 assisted-living units in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, and Northern Kentucky along with 305 West End Ave, our 233 unit newly renovated Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. In 2017, Northwind founded it's proprietary lending platform, which provides bridge financing backed by senior mortgages, mezzanine debt and preferred equity on real estate properties in the greater NYC metro area.
