GreenHouse Ventures Ltd (GHV) is Cameroon's premier sustainable agriculture company. In 2013, the company acquired an exclusive license from Pennsylvania State University to deploy the affordable greenhouse technology in Cameroon and 9 other West and Central African countries. Our first greenhouse went operational in December of 2014 and over 30 more have been constructed since then. GHV has also tested and grown over 40 different varieties of crops and have standardized operation procedures that will assure year round production with improvements in quality and quantity. GHV has also been able to customize several designs to suit every ecological zone in the country. In them, GHV has grown crops such as tomatoes, parsley, cucumbers, beet roots, swizz chad, okra, lettuce, corn, bell peppers, cabbage, popcorn, parsley, peppers, carrots, vegetables, spices and much more have been nursed, grown and harvested. We have tested for several others. We have also produced and multiplied seeds with high potencies. These greenhouses have proven to grow crops year round, increase yields per unit area, grow healthier crops with extended shelf lives, and utilize fewer inputs with higher yields as compared to traditional agriculture. In 2015, GHV started forming relationships with markets for the sale of its produce. It also identified several common initiative groups for the purpose of creating cooperatives that will engage its member farmers in the production and aggregation of produce for GHV. The company has established a franchise farm operations model that has attracted many prospective members. GHV now plans to establish a food-processing unit to process and package excesses for target markets.In 2016, GHV continuous to expand its market presence, attract investors and plans to set up over 200 greenhouses in 5 regions by December of 2017.
