HATAS was formed in 1924 with the mission to end homelessness within Albany County and the Capital Region. We meet the immediate need for shelter, food and clothing in addition to addressing the long-term need for affordable housing and employment. 🔸 We reduce homelessness through our compassionate programs.🔹 We combat homelessness by collaborating with our fellow agencies, valued donors, and neighbors.🔸 We prevent homelessness by building up our community.Together we can reduce, combat, and prevent homelessness in the Capital Region and beyond.HATAS programs include 104 units of housing, mental health, 24/7 emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, backpacks for hungry students, code blue, veteran housing, and employment assistance.
