Bilingual Literacy First Tutor (AmeriCorps) at ACE: A Community for Education - Austin, TX, US
ACE: A Community for Education's mission is to provide low-income schools with highly trained AmeriCorps tutors to ensure that children advance to grade level in reading before third grade. Since 1994, ACE has served over 1 million hours in low-income communities in the Austin, Texas area, teaching young struggling students in kindergarten, first, and second grade how to read. ACE is an early childhood literacy program at the Charles A. Dana Center, an organized research unit within the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.
