Taylor Kessinger's Company Details
The University of Michigan Solar Car Team is an entirely student-run organization, comprised of University students from a variety of majors and backgrounds. Founded in 1989, this team has built, tested, and raced 15 highly competitive solar-powered electric vehicles. The team races both nationally and internationally, regularly competing in two biannual solar races. The team has shared a podium finish with the most competitive teams in the world, finishing top-3 six times in the World Solar Challenge in Australia! Additionally, the team has won 9 national championships, including 5 of the 6 previous races. Because of this legacy, the team is recognized as the most successful team in North America.
