Scholarships Team at Australian Veterans' Children Assistance Trust - Ground Floor Surry Hills, N/A, AU
The Australian Veterans' Children Assistance Trust is a national independent charity helping the children and grandchildren of Australian veterans to a better future through education. Each year we provide up to 110 scholarships for students commencing, or already commenced, their studies at an Australian University, TAFE or registered training organisation. Our scholarships are generously funded by the Australian government, ex-service organisations and private donors.AVCAT was established in 2003 grew out of the former Vietnam Veterans' Trust (VVT) founded in 1985. The purpose of the VVT was to distribute the Australian share of the funds received from the Agent Orange legal settlement in the USA to Vietnam Veterans and their dependents. AVCAT continued the legacy of VVT by supporting the children and grandchildren of Australian Veterans in their tertiary studies.
