At the Acupuncture & Integrative Wellness Center, we combine Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and current scientific knowledge to offer an array of traditional and modern modalities to accommodate the needs of our patients. TCM integrates many therapies, and is applied by practitioners to treat illness and pain. Dr. DiStasio founded the center and has been practicing in Springfield, Illinois for over thirty years. He also holds professional licenses in acupuncture and chiropractic and is one of the few doctors in Illinois who is a board certified diplomate of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In addition, Dr. DiStasio has had extensive post-graduate training in applied kinesiology and clinical nutrition.Terry Frank joined the practice in 2011 as a Chiropractic Assistant. He quickly became an integral part of the practice with encouragement from Dr. DiStasio. He went on to pursue his acupuncture license at MCOM in Chicago. He now holds a profesional acupuncture license and is an NCCAOM board certified diplomate. His practice reflects a personal focus on the importance of balance, including diet and exercise for health. He has been deeply influenced by his years of training with Dr. DiStasio and his sophisticated approach to musculoskeletal disorders.
