TU/ecomotive is a student team which builds every team a new, sustainable car since the year 2012. Our first car, Penny was very efficient one seater. Next was Isa, the most efficient road legal car of the Netherlands when she was finished. The year after that TU/ecomotive created Nova, world's first modular car. Due to the modular concept Nova's components are easily interchangeable. This means Nova rebuilt by only changing the essential components and therefore minimizing waste. Then Lina was made, world's first structural biobased car. The structural components were made out of flax and can drive on the public roads. The last car made, Noah, was world's first circular car. The material of the car was sugar and flax. Our challenge every year is to create awareness among the car owners of today and tomorrow. The automotive industry as we know it is changing and this the moment to step up and show the possible applications of today's technology in tomorrow's car. This year, the focus lies on the problem of waste in this world. Every year 2.100.000.000 tons of waste is generated. We want to show with Luca that waste can be a valuable resource. The material of the chassis is flax, fully recylced PET and PP, straight out of the ocean. In addition, spaceframes in the front and rear will be made out of recycled aluminium. So... let's embrace waste!
