Mychal's Learning Place believes that children and adults with developmental disabilities deserve to be challenged with opportunities that build self esteem and independence, creating long term success for life. Through a variety of programs, participants at Mychal's develop their individual talents and skills necessary to foster socially acceptable interactions, add value to their communities through meaningful contributions, gain essential skills for increasing their independent living, and ultimately, reach their greatest potential. We emphasize interactive environments, learning activities that will transfer to life-long independent living skills, job skills necessary for gainful employment, self-respect and knowledge of individual strengths and empowerment through education.
