Who are we?The University of Calgary Translation Association is a club sanctioned by the University of Calgary Student Union. Any university student or external community members can join our organization to perfect language skills or to become involved in the operation of the Association. UCTA is one of the fastest growing clubs on the University of Calgary Campus. Be part of a movement that will transform the learning of translation in Calgary. What do we do?The UCTA supports over 40 Languages and we welcome all to join and begin to translate. We offer a curriculum that will guide our members right from the beginning, allowing them to gain the experience necessary to qualify on the professional level. We encourage all to participate in our translation/interpretation workshops. The best part is, the first one is free!Most importantly, we care about our members. Our Association was founded on the principle "How can we help people?" We aim to provide experiences for our members so they have the opportunity to develop themselves in many different ways and become qualified and recognized individuals.The University of Calgary Translation Association was founded in January 2011 and is growing and expanding each day. We are a non-profit organization and our members and executive are all currently volunteers.We love Culture!
