Space Apps Colombo is the local hackthon held in Colombo that participates in the annual NASA Space Apps Challenge. Space Apps is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others in cities around the world, where teams engage with the National Aeronautics. The Students for the Exploration and Development of Space - Sri Lanka (SEDS Sri Lanka) are excited to host the editions of the NASA Space Apps Challenge in Colombo.Local Lead by Mr, Thilan Harshana former Vice Chair of SEDS Sri Lanka.Don't let the name fool you... the challenges are not just about apps! All curious-minded individuals are invited to use their problem-solving expertise to to address challenges and set out innovative solutions to some of the space industry's toughest problems. Participants may use robotics, data visualization, hardware, design (and many other specialties!) to engage with NASA and the other Space Agency's innovative challenges.
