Allroundmedewerker at Kees Van Der Westen Espressonistic Works - Waalre, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands
At the conclusion of his industrial design study in the early 80's, Kees Van Der Westen notices that Italian build espresso machines were not nearly as beautiful as they used to be in the early 50's and 60's. He designed and created a unique machine unlike any other ever build. That was the spark that started his journey in the world of espresso. Until the early 90's he built one-off's, each machine extraordinary in design and usability. In the 90's he started creating a series machine, the Stromboli, of which 13 were made. Researching and perfecting the technique used in machines worldwide gave Kees van der Westen a huge amount of experience which led to the development of unique espresso machines like the Mirage, Speedster, Spirit and Slim Jim. What started on a work bench in 1984 has now grown into a workshop where professionals are handcrafting, testing and ever improving our fine, fast & furious espresso machines.
