In 2015, 118 years after JSC was established, the company has 34 employees that are dispersed through out the main office in Oslo and branch offices in Arendal, Bergen and Stavanger. Up until the late 1950's, the company's main products and focus were different types of valves for ships and industry; piston rings for ship engines; filter systems for transformer oil and professional diving equipment.Today, JSC is a leading supplier of valves, instruments and complete valve packages for ships; offshore; petrochemical; food industry; pharmaceuticals; treatment plants; smelters; hydroelectric power along with paper and pulp industry.JSC represents and stocks valves from leading, reputable, valve manufacturers worldwide. In the most recent years, JSC has also developed its own valve line which are produced externally and sold in Norway under the brand name JSC. Lubricating and metal treatment oils, diving equipment and piston rings have given way for the company's own paint brand, Power Coat, for industry and ships. Since 1984, JSC has been an exclusive importer of Graco's electric and gas powered spraying equipment for paint contractors, spraying shops as well as to providing paint line marking equipment for airports and parking lots.Today, JSC has a network of over 200 distributors that stock Power Coat Protective Coatings. A close proximity to the customer and immediate delivery are important factors for success in a demanding market. High technical knowledge of the company's products as well as the process these products shall serve is of substantial importance. Therefore, JSC uses considerable resources every year for internal and external training and education of its employees and distributors.
